  1. Heck yeah, and it has even got its own style of charcoal.

  2. vaporintrusion

    You know it!

I love cooking yakitori. Looks like you’re fucking crushing it

Bbq, yes, smoking no. Delicious yes. Proper Japanese charcoal for some quality Yakatori nice!

  4. Oh heck yeah brother. Absolutely.

Can I ask what kind of bricks you’re using? I was looking to build something similar but was wondering if I needed special heat resistant bricks at all!

  5. discourse_friendly

    Hell yeah!

If you wanted to be technical direct heat cooking = grilling, indirect heat cooking with smoke = BBQ

But sometimes I prefer to be colloquial than semantic

I’m from NC. Only pulled/chopped pork counts as BBQ.

Is it just chicken? Or does it include veggies and other proteins?

  8. Key-Commission70

Canadian lol. He probably pours maple syrup on the chicken

Grilling. BBQ is smoking, and a term often misused.

Is there food, is there fire, are there grates?

The pictures bring back memories of street food in The Philipines.

We called it Monkey on a Stick, but it was pork.

About 4 was a good start to a night of drinking.

I don’t think we should be arguing whether or not this constitutes BBQ. We should be arguing over the OP’s exact level of gangster achieved by this food.

I vote that OP has achieved the level “Muthafuckin’ G”, but with more evidence, perhaps of other techniques or cuisines, he can easily achieve the rank of “Muthafuckin’ OG”

Edit: just realized OP linked us to Instagram, but I don’t use any products owned by Fuck Boi Facebook Zuck, so my deliberation comes from this post only

I see charcoal/wood and meat looks, like bbq to me.

  14. Hell yes it does – the charcoal they use makes the meat taste amazing!
