Hang on hang on… tell me about this taqueria in cambodia.

Also, how about jackfruit curry as a taco topping for some south indian themed fish or poultry taco? Just spit balling here.

You can use it like a veggie version of pulled pork. Make an awesome bbq sauce! Burgers or I think someone below suggested tacos which would be delicious! Let us know what you do with it in the end! 👍

Trejo’s Tacos in Los Angeles has jackfruit tacos that are delicious. Here’s a recipe from his cookbook, not sure if it’s the same as the one in the restaurant though. It asks for canned so not sure how it works with fresh.

    Makes 12 tacos

29.9-ounce cans jackfruit (about 2 cups)

    1½ cups Carne Asada marinade

    Kosher salt

    Freshly ground black pepper

    12 6-inch corn tortillas

    1 cup shredded red cabbage

    1 tablespoon Salsa Verde

    ½ cup Avocado Crema

    1½ cups Pico de Gallo

    COOK THE JACKFRUIT
Drain the jackfruit and pat it dry with paper towels, In a medium saucepan, stir the jackfruit with the Carne Asada marinade. Set the pan over medium-low heat and cook the jackfruit until it starts to break down and shred, about 45 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if desired. Remove the pan from the heat.

In a small bowl, mix the cabbage with the Salsa Verde and season it to taste with salt and pepper.

Drizzle each tortilla with the Avocado Crema. Place some warm jackfruit in a straight line down the center of each tortilla. Spoon a line of the Salsa Verde slaw on top of the jackfruit, and then top with a line of the Pico de Gallo.

Like most of the comments mentioned a curry or what i like to do is pulled jack fruit which is essentially the vegetarian version of pulled pork. Smoke or toss it in the oven with a marinade of your choice let it go low and slow. Shred them and serve in tacos or rice alome is fine also

Looks unripe, so you gotta turn it into pulled jackfruit. If you still have the seeds, roast them over an open flame, Crack them open and make a jackfruit seed salsa macha to go with the tacos.

Based off of what I’ve seen people do, seems like al pastor might be an option?

You can make meat substitutes for vegan food with it, it’s a very common use here in Brazil.

  8. Bbq pulled jackfruit.

Served how you like, it’s a great pulled pork substitute!

Ask if he/she got any powdered Li Hing Mui, of course!

  10. That looks ripe, vegans use green Jack fruit for shredded pork

I would make a salsa, it’s very similar to pineapple

Maybe with some chipotle or r Healthy Boy Seafood Sauce as your in Thailand
