Hey everyone, I hope you’re great! We cooked up our own restaurant style chicken parm!! They’re so cheap & quick to make VS going out to eat, plus cooking this at home, you’re in total control to do it your way 😃 Give it a shot and let me know what you think.

** Total cost around $9.75. That’s less than $1 each!

Ingredients:
2 pounds chicken tenderloins

Egg mixture (mix together):
1 large egg
3/4 teaspoon corn starch
1 1/4 teaspoons water
(or you’ll probably need 2 large eggs)

Breadcrumb mixture (mix together):
1/2 cup plain panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1-2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt & Pepper to taste

For the Top:
Marinara sauce (6-12 ounces depending how much or little you want). I used 6 or 7
Shredded Mozzarella (4-8 ounces depending how much or little you want). I used around 4

Cook Instructions:
Step 1: Cut off piece of tendon that’s normally on the end of tenderloins
Step 2: On cutting board, pound out tenders to your desired thickness
Step 3: Prepare egg and breadcrumb mixes (see above)
Step 4: Coat each tenderloin with egg mix, let the excess drip off, then coat in the breadcrumb mix (both sides)
Step 5: Preheat oven to 400° (375° for convection mode)
Step 6: Preheat your frying pan 3-5 minutes on medium to medium-high depending how hot your burner gets.
Step 7: Slowly add 1/8-1/10 inch of olive oil specifically for high heat
Step 8: Once oil is hot and bubbling, carefully add chicken. Do not overcrowd, do seperate rounds and add a little additional oil as needed
Step 9: Cook chicken around 2.5 – 3.5 minutes per side till golden brown.
Step 9: Place cooked chicken on colling rack or a plate with paper towels. Pat tops of chicken with paper towel also to soak up excess oil
Step 10: Spoon marinara sauce on each
Step 11: Add shredded mozzarella to each
Step 12: On oven safe tray, bake on center rack for 10 minutes
Step 13: Set broiler on high and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes until mozzarella is browned (top resembles a good cheese pizza 😃)

* When preparing raw chicken, be sure to wash hands well after each time.
