Keeping grow bags in plastic bins as a microclimate until it’s warmer

Would keeping peppers in the plastic bins help with cooler nights and wind? I've been dragging inside at night since still in the 40's here, but it's a little exhausting and we're starting to see mostly mid-40's. Not much rain in the forecast and easy to empty out if the water starts pooling (or, I could drill holes in the bottom).
