Lines like someone mislabeled the prime. It honestly could pass for Wagyu

  2. Well past USDA prime; my guess is Australian Wagyu. Nice find.

  3. Blade tenderized…is that a good thing? The meat itself is marbled like Wagyu and i’d love to see one cooked. Good luck.

I thought there was a name for this type of meat. Like it’s not actually marbling but a negative condition of the meat? Idk maybe I’m wrong

That marbling is great but they also look freezer burnt. Let us know how they were

Lmfao “choice”. Then again even for choice that’s a damn good price.

Looks more like steatosis to me but that’s just like my opinion man

  10. That might be steatosis, which means the meat won’t be good.

Disgusting. Sorry, but it looks like steatosis.

  12. Numerous-Ad2571

Looks very consistent with examples of steatosis

The density of the fat and that it came from a choice cow screams steatosis

  14. Scared_Lackey_1954

Some ppl are saying marbling, others are saying steatosis. You gotta update us when you fire it and luk how it was

  15. kolmister

Maybe steatosis, but let us know how they taste!

  16. KrustyPoetic_Justice

That does not look like healthy marbling. It looks like something is wrong with it.

OP – please come back to the after you eat them and give us the answer if marbling or steatosis

  18. mikeysgotrabies

Be careful, it says “blade tenderized”. I’m pretty sure that can introduce bacteria into the meat, so you need to cook it at least medium.

  19. bigrandy2222

That’s definitely steatosis, you didn’t get lucky you got scammed sorry to say

  20. This_Perception2538

We’re gonna need an update on how these turn out

  21. LackNearby1119

OP, please update us and let us know if it was indeed deliciously marbled, or if it was steatosis

A butcher at Costco is posting somewhere “It’s finally my turn to be lucky for once!” As the other butchers told him that “we can’t sell that”

  23. Youre_On_Balon

I lean steatosis based on the pocketing/uneven distribution of the fat ribbons but if you can get a close up shot we can get a better look at coloring which would help a lot.

    curious for the verdict!

  24. Damn I didn’t even need to read the caption to know someone’s dreams were crushed today. 100% steatosis

  25. Early_Meal6945

Chances are if it’s too good to be true it’s steatosis
