In the spirit of Greek Orthodox Easter, three generations came together to share laughter, memories and the delicious aroma of freshly baked koulouria wafting through the home.

Adam, do you want to add the mommy? I think it’s so important to pass on these traditions that we have learned from our grandparents to the future generations because that as the generations pass, all these traditions are going to fizzle out. So, we need to teach them because culture and faith and traditions are a part of who we are. It’s our identity. I want my children to feel a sense of belonging to something. I want them to to carry these traditions on to their children and their grandchildren’s. The recipe that we are making today is a combination of uh mom’s and giga’s recipe, but technically it’s my mom’s recipe because she’s guiding us with all the instructions today. There are different variations. This is my mom’s, but you can add orange rind in your guludia. You can add a bit of lemon rind. It’s up to you. You can tweak it however you wish.
