The whole thing was really good, although the chicken was bland. If I order again I'd add more seasoning to the tempura mix. And I'd probably use a whole chicken breast and cut it up myself. Most of the pieces were too tiny to count as a whole bite.

I’m making this Sunday. When you suggest adding more seasoning, do you mean fry seasoning or something else?

I‘m debating making potato wedges rather than mashed potatoes

  2. I made this and I was shocked how good the chicken was. Better than restaurant chicken tenders, for sure. I dipped them in buffalo, though.

I just made this too and fully agree, chicken was bland and itty bitty pieces. I had some Dijon mustard and honey mustard on hand to use as dipping sauces and that helped somewhat.

I loved this meal, but honestly, I hate coleslaw so I didn’t use that. But other than that, I loved it. I definitely would get it again. Sometimes I suck at making mashed potatoes so I just cut up the potato into a fry and bake it with a little avocado oil on seasoning and then they kind of turned into french fries but they’re not as bad for you because they’re not actually fried, their baked.
