Hello! My girlfriend and I made a 3 day trip to NYC from Boston. This is our third year in a row making the trip. We used this sub for a lot of our planning. Thank you to everybody that contributes to this sub and recommended any of the places we visited. Below is a list of everywhere we visited. Hopefully it'll help others planning to make a similar trip.

Feel free to rate our trip, roast us, provide recommendations for next year, etc. We'd LOVE to hear your feedback. Some things we'd like to find next year are cafe's with solid coffee/pastries/breakfast options all in one, maybe another casual dinner spot to replace Coppelia, a good place for drinks with outdoor seating (walked around the west village a while for this), another Vietnamese cafe, more dive bars other than those listed below, etc.

Pictured

  1. Coppelia (8.5) – Ordered the Churrasco, Lomo Sal Tado, and Oxtail Empanada. Perfect casual option after arriving.
  2. Ny Pizza Supreme (7.5) – Solid late night option near hotel. Slices are massive.
  3. C&B (8.1) – Ordered the pork belly breakfast sandwich. No complaints. Would love to go back and try more of their menu. Cool vibe. Wish I ordered it with some cheese and sauce. Outdoor seating only.
  4. Librae (9.0) – Ordered the pistachio rose croissant and loomi babka.
  5. Also Librae.
  6. Hani's (9.5), Yanni's (8.5), Janie's (8.0), Culture (9.3) – Cookie review. Cookies listed starting from top right going clockwise. This was our first time trying Hani's, Janie's, and Yanni's. We were firm believers that Culture was the best chocolate chip cookie we had ever had. Hani's beat them out but was untraditional. We also tried Janie's pie crust cookie and enjoyed it. Yanni's was better once warmed up.
  7. Mama's TOO! (8.4) – Ordered the house pie round slice, angry nonna, and chicken cutlet sub. Pizza and sub were delicious. Sub was clearly a mess, which didn't bother me but bothered my gf a little. This wasn't on our original itinerary but L'Industrie had a long line.
  8. Also Mama's TOO!
  9. Soothr (7.2) – Ordered the crab fried rice and duck noodles. We were very excited to try this place but weren't blown away. We chose here over Pranakhon despite reddits suggestion. I think our expectations were too high or we just didn't order the right items.
  10. Also Soothr.
  11. Sharifs (9.3) – Fantastic late night option. Very cheap. Huge portions. We love Sharif.
  12. Tompkins Square Bagels (8.2) – Ordered the weezer. Breakfast sandwich was delicious, but it had a lot going on. This sat like a brick in our stomachs the rest of the day. Would definitely go back and try a more basic breakfast sandwich.
  13. Carnitas Ramirez (10) – Speechless. Went here back to back days. Wish we went more. Very casual vibe. Quick service. Seating in the back. If this was in Boston I'd go often.
  14. La Lanterna Di Vittorio (8.6) – Ordered the carne lasagna flight and speck pizza. Food was exactly what we were looking for. All four pieces of lasagna were tasty. Pizza was cooked perfectly. We sat in the indoor patio out back which was really cool. Highly recommend sitting in the indoor patio.
  15. Also La Lanterna Di Vittorio.
  16. Breads (7.9) – Ordered the cinnamon roll and a chocolate rugelach. The cinnamon roll was untraditional but tasty. It was similar to a croissant. We should’ve gotten 10 rugelachs. Went here out of convenience since we were in the area.
  17. All'Antico Vinaio (8.5) – Ordered the Paradiso with mortadella and pistachio cream. We went here last year too. Sandwich was very simple with three ingredients but had a ton of flavor. Excellent quick lunch spot.
  18. Emily (9.1) – Ordered the Emmy burger and brussels sprout salad. Our opinion on Emily is 100% biased. We've been here the past three trips and have enjoyed it every time. We love the burger but aren't huge burger people so don't have anything to compare it to. Brussel sprout salad was excellent. We've tried their pizzas in the past and also like them.
  19. Also Emily.
  20. Liberty (8.8) – Ordered the works on an everything bagel and a nova on sesame. Liberty is usually our go to before we head out. Great breakfast sandwich.
