  • Prices in your area may vary

  • I did my best to find comparable products across the food establishments. Please suggest any modifications or suggestions. This is far from scientific, but I did waste a lot of my time doing it so here it is lol

  1. Scrotalphetamines

InNOut best deal, Culvers best quality and flavor.

  2. prestigewrldwd_redux

Why are some singles but some doubles?

  3. As a European I only know like 4 of those!
I always wondered about Wendy’s cause a friend of mine went to the USA for vacation and said it was amazing and would gladly book a flight back just to eat at Wendy’s and fly back to Sweden.

Is it that good? Or do you guys have some secret formula when it comes to burgers?

  4. ScallyWag-Idiot

Preference aside the cheapest one can go toe to toe vs any of these

  5. Ishi_the_fishi

Dude, the fatburger is like the biggest patty they offer! The medium is called that almost satirically. The medium is bigger than most fast food burgers period.

  6. Sk8rboyyyy

OK, so my thought process while creating this list was to get a good sized lunch using only combo meals or current specials, none of which were app only.

Yes, you can get a burger, fries and drink at many of the above establishments for less by using their value menu. I was bored and just wanted to contribute.

Edit : so I messed up on five guys. I got a double instead of a single and I think I got too large of a burger at Fatburger. I think those two places still stay the same on the list at last and second to last.

I don’t know what happened on the In-N-Out price. It is much closer to $10 most places. Sorry about the mistakes. Outside of those three I think I fairly compared most of them. Someone suggested that I should compare them by calories to get a closer comparison. I have to agree with that.

The reason I went for a double on many of them was to also compare them to the singles at the sitdown restaurants. It needs some work lol. Thanks you.

  7. RevolTobor

I know it’s overpriced, but my personal favorite is still Five Guys.

Although I really love Chili’s Bacon Rancher burger.

That said, I get Dairy Queen, Sonic, and Freddie’s most often.

  8. Agent_Tyrant

This is poorly made, you can’t compare a single patty like Dave’s to a half pound burger to a double from five guys. It should be cost by calorie or something like that to make it more comparable

  9. Chili’s Oldtimer with Cheese is 10.99$, including a drink and appetizer, if you order it on the “3 for me” menu. Looks like you used the à la carte pricing in your comparison.

  10. thirdeyecactus

    $7 French fries at 5 guys…. What a rip!

  11. 3shotsofwhatever

I like this content. It does make me realize that my personal preference align mostly with the price/value/quality of the list.

No order… Culvers, InNOut, Freddy’s, Shake Shack.

I used to be a Wendy’s person but ever since I moved to Texas the franchises are ran like crap and the food is never made fresh. Seeing the cost comparison here drives that home that I shouldn’t go to my local Wendy’s anymore. I’m over paying to be disappointed every time.

  12. Fragrant-Airport1309

Lol at five guys. It’s good but damn. Also shake shack is slightly more expensive in Atlanta where I am

  13. mythicalwolf00

NGL when for only $4-6 more you can get a proper meal at a place you can sit down, it is a wonder why people go to fast food places like McDonalds, Wendy’s, and BK anymore at all. I’ll only go to one of those if I’m desperately craving something only they can provide (Like Big Mac or BK Whopper or something)

  14. hadtobethetacos

now do it with the most expensive burgers on the menu lol. whataburger and fiveguys gonna be at the top

  15. Otherwise_Ad_1903

    where you getting these prices?

a double double combo is $10+ minimum

shack shack $12? in my dreams

  16. For Dairy Queen I just get the 2 cheeseburgers for $5. Pretty good deal since we don’t have In N Out here yet,

For McDonald’s in my area they seem to always have free fries with a Big Mac purchase on the app so that’s $5.39 if I don’t get a drink.

It’s also crazy how cheap In N Out is especially with how hot and fresh their food is and they have friendly employees.

  17. ilikebeens2

Wow I thought mcds would’ve been more! I got my daughter a plain cheeseburger medium meal from Carl’s Jr last night and it was 13.50 somethin. Not even a double🙃

  18. This is the hard hitting news this sub needs!

Way better than “Freddy’s is the best burger” v “In-N-Out is such a great value though with fresh ingredients” because we all know who wins that battle.

  19. Mister_Green2021

We should price out homemade burgers too. Sure all the ingredients would cost $30 but price out per serving.

  20. albino_red_head

NOW I understand why everyone loves in and out. Damn that’s good value, it’s a double, too.

  21. KULR_Mooning

Chilis 3 for me $10.99 smash burger or the QP. Unbeatable deal

  22. whynotthepostman

I’m sorry but I’m in austin a double double combo from in n out is absolutely at least 12 dollars.

  23. melancholy_dood

    >**In-N-Out Burger** $7.21

This is my go-to! Although I also like **Mickey Ds**, **Red Robin**, **BK** and **Fatburger**.

  24. Chowlucci

    Five Guys still in business
    and Hooters aint.
That just tell you everything right there

  25. Just got a brand new charbroil grill and threw on the flat top part the other day and made some smash burgies and damn was so good first time having a good grill that wasn’t one of those little portable charcoal grills lol and now I might have a smash burger addiction

  26. chimneybebe

Had a double double meal from in-n-out today, it’s over $10

  27. 6SpdSmokes

Crazy the quality you can jump up in with 2 or so dollars going from BK to shake shack

  28. Red Robin has tavern burgers for like 10$ and bottomless fries.

  29. HudsonCommodore

It is a god damn crying shame where they took 5 guys post franchise model (yes I know you can get a smaller burger and fries and knock a few dollars off, it’s still way too much).

Their original locations used to have a 15 to 20 minute line every lunch and dinner because they were charging a buck or two more than mcdonald’s for awesome food. Employed a whole bunch of people to handle the volume, and still turned a profit enough to expand locations. But then they decided they can jack up prices, lose 60%of their volume, run a skeleton crew and run at I’m guessing 25 or 30% margins instead of 5-10%.

Every 5 guys i go by now has maybe 2 or 3 people in line, max.

    It’s a damn shame.

  30. madmanjp007

Nice list! I used to go to Sullivan’s Steakhouse in King of Prussia PA on Sundays for their happy hour “Best burger in town”. It was only $10 and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.

  31. KarinsDogs

This is misleading because they are not similar. Culver’s burger is significantly larger than McDonald’s and much less expensive. It’s a good theory but doesn’t make sense.

  32. I do Wendies Wednesday every week for lunch.

Small cheeseburger, Large fry, 10 nuggets, and a Reg frostie for 5 dollars tax included on the app. We walk there and its lunch for two people.

  33. medium-rare-steaks

Pretty cool how the best one is the cheapest one

  34. AncientZz1

Five guys fries are $3 less than the actual burger lol. Wtf.
