We decided to go for the costco farmed salmon for the first time and she made the platter today.
I was incredibly impressed/surprised with how it looked and turned out. She is most definitely going to be the sushi chef in the house from now on.

Really good for a first time. Much better than my first time.
A couple of easy things for her to try next time is to cut the nigiri slices a bit thicker. You can see the wasabi (I think it’s wasabi) through some of the slices. And if you guys can get a sharper knife, the cuts will be much cleaner and a lot easier to go through the meat.
And I love the creativity with the “handroll” using salmon as the nori. I love that idea. One day, I’m going to have to try it out. Like an inside out handroll.
oof I love a good handroll 😮💨
heheh nice twist on that one temaki
She’s a keeper
Looks delicious!
