I'm torn, there's also a "like new" 2021 Master touch available for $150 with hinge grate, warming rack and charcoal baskets. Should I go for this cheaper one or the Master touch?

Plan on getting SnS

Talk him down to $50 and just buy a new top grate.

I’m a frugal guy so I say $60 one so you can use the $90 to fix that one up and buy the SNS. If you get that there is no need for the charcoal baskets and I never use the warming rack on mine.

  3. The sweeps are all jacked up, and the cooking grate might need replaced. I’d try $40.

Ask 40, you’ll get it. Wash the cooking grate, season it, and throw some burgers and brats for your inaugural grill and you’re golden.

I’d go with the 150. The 60 dollar one needs a new grate AND new one touch cleaning system. Given those are usually rusted all the way through they are no fun to replace

The grates need to go and the cleaning system looks a bit on the rusty side. $50 seems reasonable, i saw one for sale for $40 in similar shape but missed it.

  7. I just sold my performer deluxe for $100 after having it listed at $150 and then $125 for 2 weeks. It was in great condition with just a little surface rust on the grates. Sold my original kettle that spent most of its life in my garage for $30, listed at $50 and dropped to $40 after a week. And this is in a pretty large market area. I wouldn’t pay those prices for either of those, the premium is going to need new bottom vents sooner rather than later.

Nope. Wait til you see one for free on the curb. I find at least one or 2 every summer.
