Ivanhoe Village diners looking for a culinary experience reminiscent of eating at a friend’s house can now venture into the area’s newest eatery, Chez Les Copains.
The French brasserie is now in soft-opening mode inside the upcoming City Food Hall, located at 1412 Alden Road. Chez Les Copains is a collaborative project by chefs Michael Collantes (Soseki, Bar Kada, Sushi Saint) and DJ Tangalin (Danilo’s Pasta Bar), with a menu that features a raw seafood bar and a selection of entrees from land and sea, including locally sourced fish.
Collantes and Tangalin were behind the original concept of Taglish, a fast-casual Filipino outpost that was situated in Orlando’s Lotte Plaza Market.
City Food Hall is expected to open early this year with other eateries including Asin, a Filipino chef’s tasting counter, and a reimagined version of Taglish with a new menu from Tangalin.
Chez Les Copains is located on the second floor of this two-story space and is the only full-service establishment in the space. It aims to curate an intimate dining experience for guests.
During the soft-opening schedule, the brasserie will be open 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, with limited reservations. Soft opening reservations can be made online now.
