A little more medium than medium rare to me, but looks really good

Thinner NY steaks can go from rare to a little over medium like this so quickly.

Not sure why, but that first pic looked like one of those ‘is it cake?’ pics

Everyone here hopes for med rare. But if it ain’t dry, it’ll eat just fine. 10/10 wouldn’t complain if you shared some.

Idk what people are talking about. That looks like a perfect medium rare to me

Would happily have this for dinner just as is.

Ok some saute potato and onions and maybe some chimmichurri would be great with it but I’d be happy with it as is.

Oh black pepper and salt too ofc.

That looks delicious! A bit over MR, but I would still enjoy it.

Medium, so perfect if that’s what you were going for. Definitely not medium rare.

Looks good for strip. Not my cut though. Rather have sirloin

  11. Well done. What kind of beef is it ? I know it’s a strip, I mean where from, what rating, etc..

  12. Yep.. that’s all I really look at. Can’t afford the Japanese shit, but every now and then I ask the butcher at the local grocery store if he’s got anything with good marbling, and each time he goes out back and returns with a strip.

Ngl I thought the steak in the first picture was extremely thin. Pleasantly surprised at the depth of the cuts in pic two
