This scans as 280 calories on MyFitnessPal, which would be right for 70g using the calories per 100g on the back.

However I'm used to noodles having a weight when prepared, or adding the volume of water to the dry weight and then multiplying by the calories.

But then again, 70g of dry weight is smaller than average for ramen, so I would expect it to be lower in calories than a normal packet.

For reference, 64g (1 cup) of Maruchan chicken cup noodles is 290 calories. The portion size in the cups are not very large. Moreover, pasta isn’t actually the most insanely calorie dense dish out there— look at spaghetti for example, which is 200cals per 56g serving— most people, myself included, just aren’t typically satisfied by a normal portion size of it, and sauces add a ton of calories.

    TLDR; it’s accurate 🙂
