It was the golden girls first birthday so as tradition I cooked up some steaks nice and rare for em. Seasoned only with a bit of salt but I did rest with some rosemary and a small amount of butter.
Not as much crust as I would've liked and a little gray band. But I don't think they minded at all

Seems sacrilege, but you shouldn’t season stuff you’re feeding to the dogs.
The thought was nice, but don’t use butter and salt for the dogs.
Berners and goldens are the best 🥰
That dog will be bothering you for more for the rest of her life.
Kids die of hunger and you fead steak to your dogs… 🤮
Looks nice. Don’t give your dogs salt. A tiny bit for us is a lot for them. A little every now and then isn’t too bad.
Dog’s kidneys aren’t as efficient as ours at processing and balancing sodium from salt. You should avoid feeding your dog’s salt as it could easily lead to kidney failure.

It’s one special day of the year. They get a little salt and butter. Worst case they get the shits for an afternoon (they didn’t)
well deserved but you shouldn’t season
When i make my dog a special meal I like to throw in some frozen green beans. He seems to love them.
Make sure to use a probe 😂
Not gonna lie, you enjoyed it more than they did. I bet they inhaled it and didn’t taste a thing.
Many American dog lovers 😍 here… cute 🤗
Those steaks are beautifull!
I’m carnivore most days, i have a cast iron skillet, and i don’t achieve such a beautifull crust without cooking it almost well done!
I tried feeding beef to my cats but one of them don’t eat anything i cook… Can you imagine? Turning your nose on a nice filet mignon?
Id feed it raw.
I’ve always wondered if my dog prefers their meat raw or cooked. Like I know they should eat cooked food for safety, but is that dog screaming inside when I turn on the grill?
Dogs thinking “He’d better pour that juice over that!”.
Blueberry’s for dessert! Dogs love them and they’re good for them!
Look at this rich ass right here. He’s Petah putting on his monocle and saying: Not only do we eat steak, even the dog eats steak!
Why would you cook a dogs steak.
Chives are cousins of onions. Don’t fed him too many, also maybe expect some diarrhea between the chives and the fat. Watch out for pancreatitis.
It’s also my first birthday.
Yall really crying about salt for a once a year thing lol
Feeding steaks to the dogs is utterly insane to me.

Butter and salt are a no no if you want your K9 friend to live a long healthy life with quality of life at the end. Peter my best friend is turning 16 still living healthy. Seasoning, table scraps, and butter have never been a part of his life. He gets fresh fish, meat from farms, and now fruit/ vegetable rice mix combo. It’s nice what you did for your pups just leave out the human additions.
Petition to have people stop feeding dogs human food Jesus Christ lol you wouldn’t eat dog food don’t feed them shit that will kill them actively please. They can’t taste the difference and they don’t care I promise.
I feel as though you treat your dog better than I treat myself. 🥲
woof woof
Why is everyone trying to be OPs vet? Can’t a guy just feed his dogs some delicious meat seasoned with who gives a flying F and post it here without all the flak?! This is r/steak. Get a grip, it’s a great piece of meat cooked to perfection and those puppers look hella happy. OP looks like he takes great care of those happy looking dogs.
Now post the pic of the entire chocolate cake you gave them next so I can dig my Reddit grave.
Rosemary is a nice touch but as EVERYONE is pointing out seasoning offers no benefits, health wise or flavor wise. They’re going to enjoy it however you give it to em!
Would you just have some children, christ
Probly don’t wanna flavor dog food with onion.
