So I’ve noticed 99% of the Webers I see have the standard “pinch / pull down” style of ash catch and mine is a twist style with 3 prongs around it(including the handle) I can’t find a replacement ash catch anywhere so is mine old and outdated or just harder to find? I got this very lightly used on marketplace and I love it, just trying to figure out more info on it.

It’s a Weber Performer that comes in the table with the propane igniter option

Yeah, that’s at least 20 years old. I’m not sure about the actual year of mfg on that style but it was on the 1st gen performer model and it got difficult to take off and put back on after corrosion started to get to it. No idea on sourcing replacement parts, you might have to get a new ring and ‘bucket’ as a set, it looks like it installs the same way as the modern version.

  3. What is it trying to accomplish? Does not appear you need a replacement. Looks very clean. Is clearly an older design tho….Over time that slot and groove method might get sticky with buildup.

I like the look of this ash can better than my 26 master touch
