I am visiting a friend and did not understand how to turn of the oven so they stayed in there at about 200°C for almost 1 Hour.

  1. If the house is at risk of burning down and you really can’t turn off the oven then turn off the electricity to the kitchen in the electrical panel.

    Even if you can’t turn off the oven, just open it and take out the buns??

    Also as long as the parchment paper hasn’t caught fire yet you are still good.

    So you couldn’t turn the oven off, why couldn’t you just take these out of the oven when they were done?

    Leave em out to cool off and dry. Once completely cool, apply clear coating lacquer over all surface. 2 coats later, you have a peculiar decor item to comemmorate your oopsie. 🙂

  16. I don’t understand. What would you have done, turned off the oven but left the bread in a hot oven? I don’t bake bread so I’m not clear if that’s something people normally do.
