Frog’s Legs are an amazing protein if you can get them, this was 200 grams for just ~150 calories. Whole plate, ~260 calories including cooking oil.

The bones are small and thin, maybe 20-30 grams tops. So this is 180g of meat for 150 calories.
Frogs legs: 204g (raw)-149 calories.
Marinated in lemon juices, 2 cloves garlic, salt, and paprika for 20-30 mins. Additional salt and pepper in pan.
Heirloom tomato: 131g-18 calories.
Added salt and pepper.
Broccoli (made from 1 fresh bunch): 150grams-53 calories.
Steamed covered in pan, when water boiled off, I let sear lightly then added Worcestershire sauce and a little Cholula, along with salt and pepper.
I used about 4-5 grams of olive oil for the broccoli and added another 1-2g when I put the legs in. So I estimated I consumed about 5 grams for 43 calories.
In future, Id probably also do a blackening seasoning on the frogs legs but they were still good, though mild. Tastes like somewhere between fish and chicken (without any fishy taste).

If you can get past the fact that they’re frog legs yeah it’s definitely worth it. Honestly looks appetizing, it’s got a chicken type of look to it.

Ohhhyeahhhh I love frog legs! I would want to lather them in sauce, or salt and pepper fry them though which completely removes the low calorie value hahaha

Did you buy them or wild catch them? I’m curious about smaller scale sustainable protein sources.

They’re delicious

This isn’t a low calorie option, but deep fried frog legs tossed in wing sauce is mighty. tasty. Maybe I should post over at r/stonerfood lol
