Beautiful example of the effect that time can have on wine. Initially muted on the nose. Some notes of reduction, flint, and grass, but not much of anything else. Likewise the palate was lacking any noticeable flavors.

A few hours later and this started opening up. Continued to develop complexity and by the second day was showing hazelnut, toasted almond, spearmint, oak, ripe pear, pomelo rind, and lemon. Luxurious and layered creaminess on the palate with a sense of weight and opulence in the mouth, mineral and saline acidity, long citrus finish.

What a great example of drink slow and the flavors grow!!

Yes sir, looks like a banger. That’s about how much age I like on burgundies
