The Market Tavern opened its doors in Bampton, west Oxfordshire, last week.
It replaced Fleur De Lys, which closed on February 16.
Owned by Talfryn and Gemma Buttress, the pub boasts a 50 seater restaurant, a ‘cosy and comfortable’ bar area, a garden, and nine rooms.

The head chef is Stuart Banks, formerly of Fleur De Lys, Chequers at Churchill and the Swan at Ascot Under Wychwood.
General manager Will Morris said it has been the ‘perfect start’ and said he ‘couldn’t have done it’ without his team, which includes hotel and sales manager Ellie Brown, and front of house manager, Natasha Smith.
Mr Morris said: “I cannot be more pleased for the pub to open, and the response we’ve had on our opening weekend has been overwhelming.
“We’ve not stopped since opening our doors to the locals on Friday night. It’s been a perfect start.
“I cannot wait to put into action everything we’ve been planning over the last 10 weeks, and seeing the place flourish.”

He described the pub as ‘friendly and professional’.
He added: “We will be serving top quality pub classics, a delicious grill section, weekly specials and a set lunch menu from Monday to Thursday lunchtimes.
“A modern and interesting wine list from Eynsham Cellars and a creative and classic cocktail menu.
“We want to welcome people with open arms through our door and show them how great hospitality can be.”
