Hey all, I’m new to the grilling game and I didn’t grow up super handy (but I’m not too shabby at watching some videos and figuring things out.. eventually) so I just want some help. I found this grill on marketplace for $30 and they basically only have these two pictures of it. The drive is 2 hours away from me but I’m thinking of asking if they can meet halfway. Anyway, is there anything I should ask the seller about before I set up a meeting? Any additional pictures I should ask for or condition its in? The person who listed it says it needs new grates and I see some rust and stuff (I circled it in red) but is that all stuff I can clean and fix myself? Thanks everyone!

That’s a steal. Those points of rust won’t be a problem as long as you don’t let the grill itself get wet over time…get a cover.
I’d use it until the legs fall off.
$20.
Minor rust. Most of it looks like carbon deposits. You’ll be fine.
Coat it in pork fat from grilling and you will be good. 30 bucks for a performer is a no brainer.
It’s a great looking grill and worth every bit of $30. If you are going to ask him to meet you halfway I wouldn’t ask any off the price. If you have to drive the full 2 ask if they will take $20 considering the drive. Keep your eyes posted for more kettles if you don’t get this one. You don’t have to be handy to learn how to cook great meat and get a ton of enjoyment from a Weber Kettle
Grab it man! Definitely a steal! Looks fairly used and still good.
Mine that was donated almost 10 years ago, which was already 8 years old, finally died. Will certainly miss it. Can’t wait to find one for low price or curb side deal
Brand new cost $219 in Home Depot.
I pulled Weber grills out of trash that looked way worse than that and used for years without a problem, looks like a good deal to me
Go swoop it before it’s gone
If I was selling for 30 I’m afraid I wouldn’t drive an hour to sell it. That’s a great price
