This looks good! I can’t decorate a cake to save my life, but they always taste great! If I cared more, I would practise and really, with each one I do get better.
The vision is beautiful and the execution is way better than you think. Platitudes are terrible, but ‘you are your own worst critic’ applies here.

We all have that one cake that broke us. Mine was for a college graduation where I would be serving 100+ ppl with a specialty bespoke cake. Literally every part went wrong and my confidence was so shaken. In the end, I did my best and ppl ate it, and said it was so good, but I still hated it. I might be the only one, but I still remember that blasted cake 🤣

It’s still super cute though. And the oreos are a really great happy accident. I would repeat that element again with different cakes honestly. Maybe play up the flavor profile too: strawberry vanilla oreo cake.
My cousin learned to decorate cakes and they have these plastic sheets that have images of different designs you can do for icing decorations, so you can practice. Something like this:

It my not have turned out they way you dreamed it, but it is still amazing. Remember to just keep practicing, utill you get the results you want. Then, continue to practice so you always get what you want every time.

it looks delicious!! i think a cute way to cover it up would be to coat it in a thin layer of buttercream and then crush up the oreos and cake trimmings and press them into the sides?!?!! feel like itd be cute and YUMMY like a strawberry crunch bar. either way, you’re being so hard on yourself. its awesome!!! <3
