    I think you would be better off just using a cast iron pan

  2. Grill marks are for looks. Give me cold grate over hot coals or a flat surface over high heat any day over grill marks.

    Not a fan of grill grates at all actually. Very very little crust is created. Just on the lines. I recommend a cast iron.

    Perfect sear? No, imo you don’t get a perfect sear without a pan of some kind. Grill marks are for amateur weekend warriors, I’ll take the full crust please.

    Grill lines are not searing, it’s just burning marks on the meat.
