I made this burger with herbs I cut from my own garden. The patty was grass-fed 85% lean beef. I mixed these into the patty:
– Diced yellow onion, diced red sweet pepper, a clove of garlic
Then added these fresh herbs:
– rosemary, thyme, basil, parseley, oregano
And seasoned it with:
– Chihuahua smoked salt and freshly ground black pepper
I prepped some toppings and condiments
– sliced Roma tomato
– sauteed red onion slices
– spring herb salad greens
– burger sauce made from equal parts spicy ketchup, brown mustard, and mayo
I put the sesame seed bun cut side down in the pan with the olive oil I used to cook the onions to toast it a little
Then I fried the patty in the pan and topped it with a slice of Colby and Monterrey Jack cheese.
I stacked it all up. On the top bun, I put burger sauce, then tomatoes, then the grilled onions, then the lettuce. On the bottom bun, I put the patty with the cheese on top. I put the two sides together, admired it for a moment, and then ate it!
The end.
