Picked up these two ghost peppers that I thought I could separate (2 for the price of 1 ideology). Very quickly realized they are too intertwined. They both look healthy so far, but will they compete for nutrients and lead to a reduced yield? I’m wondering if my best option is to cut one down and try to get it to root for a second plant that may produce late this summer.

I have two that are entwined and I’ve kept them together and they’re producing just fine
Do you need/would you like two plants? If so, cut and propagate elsewhere, otherwise just cut. There’s no use having two plants intertwined as they’ll both suffer. Might as well sacrifice one and leave one to thrive.
I would add them in 10 or 15gallon and let them grow..
I would keep them both how they are. Yes they’ll compete for nutrients, so just add more nutrients
