Finally tried Mac’s last night and had an enjoyable experience. Lemonhead slice is the obscure option sold here that people rave about. It didn’t knock my socks off but I understand the appeal. The actual crust and cook of the pizza was my favourite, lovely thin NY-esque slices. White Pie ended up being my favourite, not overbearing with the mushrooms and a more subtle white sauce.

A lot of their sauces were pretty light compared to other places which could be a positive, but the Vodka Pepperoni misses out because of this and was our least enjoyed option, much preferred the Angry Pep. We got all the three sauces: Chilli Creamy Garlic was best, Hot Honey did its job, and garlic was very whatever.

I would recommend everybody who hasn’t to try it out, it’s another option for quality pizza in the city, especially for by the slice. I would visit here again but probably only grab slices as opposed to whole pies.

Never heard of it, gonna have to hop on the subway one day to give it a try. My 2 favourite pies right now are Badialis and Grams Pizza

this place beats out badiali in my opinion and no lines either. highlights are the white slice and lemon slice.

Lemonhead is the best thing when I’m wandering around the west head and want to eat quick without spending a lot and without getting bloated. Gotta squeeze the lemon onto the slice for full effect

  5. The Macs to Bloomers combo is the perfect way to boost carbs in the ossington bloor area. I absolutely love it.

Mac’s is fantastic… love the lemon; try the tie dye next time you grab a slice (feel the whole pie benefits from sitting on the cooling rack for max crispiness)!

Think recently the avg pizza enjoyer is getting more fond of sourdough and chewier crusts with higher hydration. I don’t know if Mac has tweaked its recipe but it’s definitely grown in popularity since its early days.

It’s the best slice in TO, hands-down

Tried Mac’s for the first time last weekend, based solely on another redditors recommendation. It did not disappoint. Great ‘za!

That pizza looks amazing!!! I will have to try that when I come up in July.

  15. I tried the Lemon pizza but unfortunately the employee there seemed to be really pissed that I had the audacity to order a slice from there, so I won’t be going back there for what’s at best, an above-average slice.

There’s far better businesses in this City to go to.

We’ve been won over by Mac’s and have added it to our pizza rotation. We did find the lemon underwhelming (although absolutely stunning to look at when you open the box). They had a meatball pizza on special recently that was incredible. Like many here, I had a terrible customer service experience as well. The woman manning the front counter forgot to put it in the order for our second pie, and when the manager figured out what had happened, she basically shrugged towards him and didn’t say a word to me. That said, the manager (owner maybe?) was awesome and apologetic, and the pies were worth an extra 15 minutes of waiting. An encounter like that might turn me off a place, but the pizza is genuinely worth it.

Great pizza, unfortunately shit service and I don’t expect or need much from a pizza place.

I tried Mac’s recently for the first time and was very impressed. I thought it was fantastic and up there with the best pizza I’ve had in the city. Looking forward to my next visit.
