I depend on having a fair amount of self stable foods given my rental situation, so I'm always looking to kick up my menu. I don't remember this popping up on my app before, but I was also picking up from a different location than usual, so I added "Pulled Pork in BBQ Sauce" this week.

It doesn't look bad. Just a stringy meat in sauce. It's a little more watery than I might like. The flavor is good. A very generic BBQ flavor that wasn't to spiced or too sweet. Like, generic BBQ sauce has more kick, but the mild sweetness was enjoyable. The texture was a bit stringy, like I thought, but it had an old chew.

I make a Frito wrap with it, and I liked it! A little crunch and salty to go with the sweet and tangy. I think it was a great small meal.

Ohh I have to see if Walmart by me has it .. I’m still amazed they have their own great value versions of beefaroni and hostess cupcakes

This looks better than the pulled pork from someone’s job that was posted earlier.

Heat up a can over white rice and soy sauce and you’ve got a meal.

Check the daily recommended amounts on the back.

My guess is it’s a SALT BOMB.

    All that salt adds up.

Now I wish I had purchased the shelf stable bags of barbacoa and other meats I saw last week.

i had an uncontrollable fear response, but then I remembered that I eat canned Hormel chili like twice a month and then I calmed down…. ngl with some hot sauce and toasted bread, I’d definitely try it

Shitty food review Thursdays? Lol cool review, that is something I’d look at and go. “Huh, I wonder if this any good?”

Your review of it seems about what I thought it would be, but could you taste a lot of salt?

Pro tip – you gata cook the tortillas. There are various methods depending on what kinda equipment you have available. I put them directly on the burner of my gas stove; maybe 10 seconds per side. It really adds a nice texture and flavor.

  10. It doesn’t look bad, but I’d probably drain the pork and add just a drop of liquid smoke and a better BBQ sauce to it . You could definitely make some good pork nachos out of it by adding some can peppers ,beans, and some cheese sauce . If you like baked potatoes that suff would work just as good on them.
