  1. By the time the charcoal is hot that will be long gone. Its just from the bag getting wet somewhere

I figured just fire it up just wanted to double check

Mold does not get killed by fire, you guys in this comment section need to be more careful, do not use that charcoal. Do not smoke with moldy wood the mold spores will end up in your food and could potentially make you sick. Had a buddy that got it real bad burning moldy wood in a stick burner.

The guys on r/castiron would call that seasoning and tell you to cook some bacon on it.

That second pic looked like a chunk of tire and I was mad confused by all the “send it” “burn it” comments.

  6. Not an issue. That will be gone long before you actually start cooking.

It’ll be alright. Fire pacifies everything.

By the fire it shall be made pure.”

  9. So, what consistency should all charcoal lump be? Size, weight, hardness, any specific char level you feel required?

You realize this is, charcoal, a burnt wood product? Now some manufactures have different standards for what they will put in their premium bag. But it is charcoal, created in a big fire, not a lab using a test tube.

EDIT: I bet that chunk made the steak suck…

If you drink 10 beers you’ll forgot about it and the fire will have taken care of it

Just burn it up. It won’t exist by the time you put food on the grill.

If you have other charcoal use that. People on here gonna argue about it.

Youre gonna need rubber gloves that go the the elbow to handle that shit. Wear an N95 mask too.

Got news for you….the wood you burn in the grill? Probably touched some dirt at some point.

It’s not some activated charcoal for air purification or some fancy therapeutic massage man.
