My friend and I went to this Italian Restaurant in our area and I saw in the menu a dish called Aglio Oglio and tbh it’s my first time hearing of such dish and decided to try it out and to my surprise it was so good. One thing I noticed is there’s no sauce but oil and cheese but the flavor is there and I really enjoyed it. Lesson to always try out new food and not stick to your comfort food

Aglio e olio means “garlic and oil.” It’s usually garlic, olive oil, some fresh parsley, maybe some chile flakes, and for the most part, has toasted breadcrumbs on top instead of cheese. It’s a peasant dish, and cheese was too expensive. I love it.

That is a disaster, the pasta is so dry that I can’t see olive oil at all, the pasta Is grey/brown (what happened???), cheese is so wrong in aglio olio e peperoncino and, for all people who don’t know how to eat pasta, stop putting garlic bread on the plate, is stupid, wrong and has nothing do do with pasta.

If we’re going to be pedantic, there’s no cheese added either, especially with prawns.

Please let’s not “Carbonara” the Aglio e Olio.

Never seen a “restaurant” fuck up aglio e olio like this

  5. If you’re gonna add seafood to this dish, it’s gotta be anchovies. Shrimp just seems weird.
