From the Recipe Creator:
A couple of years ago, one of my friend’s parents made pumpkin biscuits for Thanksgiving. I was inspired by the innovative idea but wanted to add my own spin by topping the biscuits with apple butter. I have been experimenting with the air fryer recently and wanted to try to make bread in the machine. — Jessica Burke, Chandler, Arizona

Air-Fryer Breakfast FAQ
What can I cook for breakfast in the air fryer?
You can cook sweet and savory breakfast recipes in the air fryer. Try making air-fryer bacon to serve alongside eggs and toast, or whip up baked goods like biscuits and Danishes. You can also use the air fryer to reheat breakfast foods like pancakes, waffles, breakfast burritos and sandwiches.
Can I put raw eggs in an air fryer?
Yes, you can put whole raw eggs in the air fryer to make hard-boiled eggs. (Just don’t put them in the microwave—that can result in exploding shells.) If you prefer to crack the eggs first, use a heat-safe dish or ramekin to make fried eggs or scrambled eggs. Or pour whisked eggs into silicone muffin cups to make mini frittatas or copycat Starbucks egg bites.
Can you put aluminum foil in an air fryer for air-fryer breakfasts?
It’s fine to use aluminum foil in the air fryer to contain loose ingredients like scrambled eggs, chopped veggies or breakfast hash. However, we don’t recommend it when air-frying items that contain acidic ingredients like tomato sauce. The foil will react with the acids and begin to break down. If you’re just using the foil to keep the ingredients from sticking, consider using parchment paper as a liner instead. It tends to be more nonstick than foil is, and it won’t react with acidic ingredients.
