I started my superhots in February in peat pellets, an experiment as I usually use soil blocks. Next year I’ll probably go ahead and soil block instead. This week I potted them up for a second time. They are lush!

Carolina Reaper, Bhut Jolokia & Death Spiral. All seeds from Baker Creek; lots of people throw shade on them and I don’t get it!

Not pictured are the other varieties of wee pepper sprouts started in April.

Happy spring, y’all! 🤙🌱

… I’ve heard that hurts like hell.

Peppers look great! I’ve never used Baker Creek, but from what I’ve read on Reddit the frustration is with seeds that either don’t germinate or are not true to type once grown out.

I’ve been having good luck with the seeds I’ve purchased from Baker. 90%+ germ rate at least.

Nice job those plants are stacked up with nice tight internodal spacing. A shift to a bigger pot a few weeks ago might have been a good idea, but they look great!

Is superhot a reference to the pepper plant or the OP? Nice plants, hope you have a great harvest!
