There was a post yesterday that really didn’t do this place justice, although OP tried. Blood Bros (named by three childhood friends who opened this spot in southwest Houston to highlight traditional bbq with Asian flavors) is a Texas Monthly Top 50 spot that consistently makes innovative and delicious ‘cue. I put them in the top 3 in Houston proper (Truth and Pinkertons are regularly in that conversation). Feges also gets a mention from me.

This selection includes brisket, gochujang glazed pork ribs and brisket chow fun, a Cantonese dish traditionally made with beef and wide rice noodles. They’re doing stuff that’s unique and true to their background. It isn’t cheap – Houston’s a big city and rent ain’t free. I don’t recall how much this set us back but I definitely didn’t feel ripped off.

As a Gen Xer I also appreciate that their branding regularly has a throwback to 90s hip hop. And their burger is fire.
