I cleared out a wine cellar yesterday and have no idea what I have. I’m not looking to sell I’m just wondering if anyone sees anything good in nthe lot! All of this was going to end up in the trash if I didn’t take it. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Some good stuff there for sure. Drink up!

Dom, Krug great, Lynch-Bages too. Ridge. Few possibly nice reds, and a lot of wines unkown to me and probably past their prime.

  3. Yes, there’s some good stuff. Google should tell you lots about almost everything pictured.

Before you even think about selling, you need to make note of the cellaring conditions and where they are going to be stored now. If you don’t even recognize Krug, it seems highly unlikely you know how to store these. Without strong storage provenance, you’ll be hard pressed to sell them for any considerable sum.

    Good luck.

Are you located in the US? If these have indeed been stored well it’s a really nice find! Those bottles of dom and krug should be pretty tasty and my favourite of the bunch, the ridge should be good too, never had the nickel and nickel copper streak but those are worth something, not well versed on napa wines but plenty here are and can help out better

Send me a bottle of that dom and I’ll categorize everything for you haha

Sorry but how did this opportunity fall into your lap and were you paid to take this wine?

Thanks for the help! Darn! I was hoping those really old ones would be the best.

Clearing out any of those books? Some heavy hitting diction in the background. Yeah the wine looks solid as well. Some past their prime but a majority made for longevity so make some friends or trade with some local somms. They’d for sure keep you in mind when they taste the heavy hitters

Some friends i have dinner with on occasion have personalized bottles of cab from Windsor, like yours in photo 7.

We had a 2000 last month, it has aged quite well, he was expecting the possibility of a bunk bottle.

Interested in how the 1996 is for you.

Edit: the Dulce looks pretty dark. Very interested in how that Cab Franc is.
    Cheers!

Please host a Reddit wine tasting event. I would be so down lol

Wait what? That is insane luck; can we be friends?

  13. You won’t be able to sell any of this if you can’t prove it’s been stored properly which is a challenge. There are a few with bad fill levels but they might be ok. Best option will be to just try the wines. There are certainly some interesting wines in there. Outside the Lynch Bages and the Dom I doubt anything will be good but it is totally worth opening and truing everything

Nice! Make sure you’re keeping them below 75 degrees and out of direct sunlight.

The combo of wolf blass yellow, Jacob’s creek and dom perignon and krug is just 🤌🏼
