Price: My mind slips on how much the total bill was (we had two of the prix fixes, one cocktail each and then shared an N/A pairing), but each prix-fixe is 11,900 TL (~$307 USD as of today)
Service: Top tier. Warm, professional, and super accommodating—they even moved our (already late) reservation back last minute when our hammam treatment nearby ran 45 minutes over (and then we, of course, got stuck in Istanbul's infamous traffic😅) Everyone we interacted with, from servers to chefs on the kitchen tour, was an absolute delight!
Favorite courses:
- The sour cherry pickle juice drink: Despite a decade living in the Midwest, I’ve never been a big pickle person. Türkiye changed that with both all the salgam suyu I had from street stands and this drink at TFT🤤
- Chicken soup: (warm, comforting and with the perfect spice blend)
- Truffle celeriac: (I've never had a celeriac focused dish before!)
- 'From my mum in spring': (hard to go wrong with dumplings in general, but these were a step above)
N/A pairing- TFT really nailed this. My pet peeve is when N/A pairings are simply normal cocktails made with N/A spirits. This was a delightful mix of juices, ferments and other drinks that complimented each course beautifully. Up there with Herbfarm, Invernadero and iKoyi for my favorite N/A pairings.
The setting: I'm a sucker for 'multi-room' experiences, and both rooms here were stunning. Everywhere there was beautiful art and lovely touches showcasing Turkish culture and history.
Overall:
Hands down one of the best tasting menus I've had in awhile, an incredible experience well worthy of the price and both stars (I personally think they deserve a third). A must-stop in Istanbul! I love dining experiences that really bring in the environment, culture and local food of where they're placed rather than the usual 'easy' dishes you often find in fine dining, and Turk Fatih Tutak did so perfectly. It’s clear Chef Tutak isn’t just presenting beautiful food—he’s really telling a story rooted in place, memory, and modern technique and showcasing Türkiye one bite at a time.

We also went to and very much enjoyed Aila while we were in town, worth checking out if you’re wanting more of an a la carte experience and at a ‘lower’ price point vs a whole prix fixe! Really enjoyed the garum dish there as well as the raki cocktails! (Big raki fan after this trip)
I went there in Nov 2023, and it was incredible! Solo dined at the chef counter, and the chefs interact with you on the pass. The chef who did my kitchen tour ended up being on Master Chef Turkiye 2024, which was pretty cool lol
This looks like a really fun and delicious meal
Dear god, thanks for putting this on my radar. WOW.
