    Now that’s a pie I’d steal off a windowsill 😍

After baking more than a few ugly duckling pies I’m very pleased with how this cherry blueberry pie turned out: everything from the lattice to the pastry to the filling worked out!

The filling is just frozen cherries and blueberries (thawed and drained), the zest and juice of a small lemon, 1/4 cup each sugar and cornstarch, and a pinch of salt.

The pastry is the two-stage all butter crust from [King Arthur’s Baking School](https://shop.kingarthurbaking.com/items/Baking-School-Lessons-and-Recipes-for-Every-Baker). I’ve been doing every recipe in this cookbook (r/BakingSchoolBakeAlong) in 2025 which has undoubtedly improved my baking skills (including pie crusts!) over the last 19 weeks.

No!!!! You did NOT make a pie…..

Instead, **YOU** created, an *ART PIECE!!!!*

^(I’ll see my self out. Sorry….)

Damn, that looks good. Now I have to make blueberry pie.

I always struggle making my lattice as even as yours looks though. Do you have any tips? 😭
