RECIPE:
For the Crust:
1 1/2 Sleeves Graham Crackers, Crushed
12 Tbs Unsalted Butter, Melted
Combine the ingredients and press into a 9 inch pie pan, and bake at 350 F for 10 minutes.
For the filling:
3/4 Cup Nellie and Joe’s Key West Lime Juice
2 Egg Yolks
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
2 Cans Sweetened Condesned Milk
Combine all the ingredients and pour into the baked crust. Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes, then let cool to room temp. Cover with plastic and chill for 3 hours, then optionally top with lime zest and whipped cream!

get ready for the easiest key lime pie recipe you will ever make this is stop number 18 of my 50 video series making all the state desserts in America and today we have the classic key lime pie let me know in the comments what state you think has this as the state dessert pretty obvious on this one but comments are always great so let me know down below this recipe comes from my mom she is a baker I learned so much of what I know from her and she is a huge huge presence in my life and I’m so happy that I’m close with her and that I’ve learned as much as I have from her so check the recipe in the description so you can make this at home because it is so easy it’s so delicious and you are going to love it before we get started hit that subscribe button and that notification Bell so you can join me for my weekly recipes here on my channel get ready don’t blink cuz you might miss it it’s really easy we have a basic graham cracker crust 1 and 1/2 sleeves of graham crackers we crushed up and mixed with about 12 tbsp of unsalted butter pressed into a 9 in pie dish and then we’re going to bake it at 350 for 10 minutes now this filling is really simple it’s 3/4 of a cup of key lime juice and I’m actually using this Nelly and Joe’s bottled Key West lime juice don’t knock me because this is really good and a timesaver it’s not full of preservatives either so I would strongly recommend this we’re going to add an egg yolks and sour cream for richness and helping you know that filling set and then the sweetness comes from two cans of sweetened condensed milk that’s it for the filling my friends it could not be easier so we’re going to whisk this until it’s combined pour it into our crust and bake it for just 15 minutes at 350 let it cool a little bit room temp before chilling for at least a few hours covered with plastic and that’s it it could not be easier optionally top with some lime zest or if you want some whipped cream go for it but I don’t even think it needs it this pie is so easy and so delicious now I think this is probably one of the easiest recipes I’ve made so far in this dessert tour of the United States with this key lime pie you saw how easy that was so quick minimal ingredients and that bottled key lime juice is such a timesaver but I love how this Cuts it’s so clean you can tell that filling is so creamy and Luscious and it is delicious my God it’s so silky smooth creamy luscious all the adjectives to complement the texture this is a textural win of a pie this brings back just so many memories for me cuz my mom loves Key Lime Pie as I was a kid she made it a lot she still makes it a lot and people tell her it’s the best one they’ve ever had this is a nostalgic dessert for me and it just makes me think of my mom but I know for a lot of you it makes you think of Florida which is the state dessert for Florida it’s key lime pie once again the full recipe is in the description please try this at home and let me know in the comments if you do and what you think be sure to hit the thumbs up button and hit that subscribe button with that notification Bell so you can join me for my weekly recipes thank you guys so much for watching and I’ll see you next time

I love using Nellie & Joe's for my key lime pies. I've used fresh key limes before and, yes, it was a tiny bit fresher tasting…but the small difference was not worth the labor of juicing a whole bag of those tough little limes. Ain't nobody got time for that mess. I've never thought about adding sour cream before. I'll definitely have to give it a shot.
