In the latest episode of Community Spotlight, brought to us by ATB Wealth Kelowna, host Jim Csek sits down with Sandrine Raffault and Elyse Wright, the dynamic duo behind Sandrine French Pastry and Chocolate. A staple in Kelowna for 21 years, the shop is known for its exquisite cakes, chocolates, pastries, and gelato—all made from scratch with real, quality ingredients. As a third-generation French chocolatier, Sandrine brings her heritage into every creation, while Elyse keeps things running smoothly out front.

The big news? Sandrine’s is expanding! A second location is set to open around May 15 in the Lower Mission, right along Lakeshore Road near Save-On-Foods. This new space will feature an inviting patio and an expanded café-style menu including espresso, gelato affogatos, light lunches, and wine. “It checked every box on our dream list,” said Elyse, noting the unique space and growing community vibe of the area.

The expansion has been years in the making. Sandrine had long hoped to grow but needed the right partner and structure to make it happen. With Elyse onboard and the perfect location secured, the team is ready to bring a fresh wave of indulgence to the community. “You can tell the difference when it’s made with real ingredients,” said Sandrine. “People walk in smiling—and that’s what keeps us going.”

Whether you’re after a buttery croissant, a rich chocolate cake, or a scoop of their house-made gelato, Sandrine French Pastry and Chocolate delivers an experience as delightful as their desserts. Pre-order online or stop by either location—because sometimes, the best moments come with a little pastry and a glass of wine.
