Troya, a Mediterranean restaurant, is set to open in Tiburon this Spring, offering a blend of traditional and modern Mediterranean cuisine, featuring family-owned recipes for the local community.
For owner Betul Kinalilar, Troya Tiburon is the realization of a lifelong dream. Her family has deep roots in the restaurant industry, with her grandfather running a Bosphorus-side eatery in Istanbul, and her mother and grandmother imparting their culinary wisdom. Betul has spent the last decade working alongside her husband at Troya in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood.
As a Marin County local and mother to a daughter who attends school in Tiburon, Betul is thrilled to share her love for fresh, healthy Mediterranean food with her new community.
Stepping into Troya Tiburon, it’s clear that Betul’s personal touch is everywhere, from the meticulously designed lighting and décor to the inviting furniture. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for dining alone, with friends, or enjoying a romantic meal. The thoughtfully curated menu caters to a variety of tastes, combining authenticity and modern flair.
Guests can expect a range of homemade dishes, including Dolmas, Borek, Shakshuka, Turkish Breakfast, Lamb Meatballs, and fresh salads. Main dishes will feature dishes like Branzino, Vegetarian Moussaka, and the signature Braised Lamb Shoulder. For dessert, enjoy classics like Kunefe and Baklava. The drink selection includes freshly brewed Turkish coffee and tea, mocktails, and a carefully selected range of Eastern Mediterranean wines, including a variety of rosé.
Troya Tiburon will open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, offering brunch and dinner.
With her usual welcoming smile, Betul says: “It has always been my dream to open a restaurant where I can combine my love for people and sharing, with my ability to showcase authentic mediterranean cuisine. I am a strong believer in Conscious Living and eating quality food is just one aspect of the healthy choices we can make. I look forward to welcoming guests and bringing something new and exciting to the local community for years to come.”
