these weight fluctuations have been driving me insane, I think I just need some reassurance here. so, my TDEE is between 2000-2100 depending on the calculation, and I eat within +/- 100 of 1200 almost every day here. On the days my weight went up, I was eating at my bmr, which I believe to be around 1700/1800. Does this graph look okay? I feel like i’m losing steam and motivation and it’s just exhausting. the thing that’s really getting to me is how I really haven’t been able to get below 160, which is when my bmi (I know bmi isn’t perfect) is officially no longer ‘overweight’ anyways i’d love to hear from yall, especially from people who have been doing this longer than me. Thanks in advance 🙂

A lot of fluctuations are due to things like sodium and water intake I think it is more important to focus on your overall rather than day to day as you’ve literally lost 10lbs in two months! You are fine

As long as there is a good looking downward trend you are good. Don’t care too much about day to day fluctuations, it is not healthy for you mentally. Weight loss is a gradual process and what matters the most is persistence. Don’t blame yourself for a bad day (and looking at what you said it’s not even above the tdee so no way near a bad day!) ngl the first thought I had when looking at the graph was: congrats and good job! Keep going.

How did you come up with a TDEE of 2000-2100 and BMR of 1700-1800? That doesn’t sound right

Also eating 1200 with a BMR of 1700 is dangerously unhealthy. But even assuming the BMR isn’t calculated correctly, aiming to eat close to a 1000/day deficit for any length of time isn’t sustainable.

What’s your height? Age? Activity level etc

I find it helpful to weigh in 1x per week, like every Monday morning, instead of daily. Helps to even out the fluctuations a little so you can just focus on the overall trend. Great job with your progress!
