🌿 Baked Falafel Recipe,,,,,,,,,,
Ingredients:
2 cups dried chickpeas (do not use canned)

2–3 garlic cloves

1 cup fresh parsley leaves

1 cup fresh cilantro leaves

4 green chilli (optional)

1 tbp ground cumin

1 tbp ground coriander

½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

½ cup sesame seeds

6 tbsp oats flour (or chickpea flour for gluten-free)

2–3 tbsp olive oil (for brushing or drizzling)

Instructions:
Soak the Chickpeas:

Place dried chickpeas in a large bowl, cover with water, and soak overnight (12–24 hours). They will triple in size. Drain and rinse well & boil they soft texture.

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 200°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the Falafel Mixture:

In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, cayenne, black pepper , sesame seeds ,chilli and salt.

Pulse until the mixture is finely ground and holds together when squeezed. Don’t overblend—it should still have texture.

Shape the Falafel:

Using damp hands or a scoop, form the mixture into small balls or patties (about the size of a walnut).

Bake the Falafel:

Place them on the lined tray and brush or spray lightly with olive oil.

Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Serve With:
Warm pita bread or flatbread

Hummus or tahini sauce

Chopped salad or pickled veggies

Yogurt garlic sauce (optional)
