Some may say these are burnt, but I think they’re cooked perfectly. Maybe even a little undercooked for me. What are your guys’ thoughts?

yes. You can go lower temp for longer. Best wings I ever made were smoked 2 hours at 275 until the internal temp hit 185F and then did 10 min over direct heat to crisp up the skin. The longer/lower cook time let the connective tissues break down. Juicy and amazing.

Unfortunately, yes. It looks like you had some sugar in your rub that charred under direct heat.

I love some char but this is just plain burnt.

That flat on the left, it’s roasted toasted and burnt to a crisp😂

  5. You can say this isn’t burnt, and you can be wrong

  6. you’re burnt if you can’t solve this yourself

Charred a bit yeah. If you did these on a grill it’ll happen. I like some char perfectly fine to me. But does look a bit overly charred.

I like em crispy, but not quite to that level.

It’s a preference – if this is delicious to you, then get your char on!

Most of them yes, but a couple of them looks perfect.

I’d destroy those, like bones and all eat them, but I like them kinda charred up good. These are a little burnt for most people. Still good though just sauce em up.
