As the title says. I started with a fresh egg. 100% clean. I loaded large lumps on the bottom (I used FOGO premium stuff) and about halfway up I placed 3 fire starters. I filled it the rest of the way up to just below the top of the ceramic ring. I dug one final fire starter into the middle of the coals and blazed it up with a burnzomatic. Lid up until it was well ignited then lid down with top and bottom vents wide open. It took 23 minutes to eclipse 600 degrees. You gotta want it.

I started using a hair dryer with no heat. Two starters burn, wait, stir, blow, stir, blow, and ready. Less than 20 minutes till 500.
