Stella Parks' Overnight Cinnamon Rolls , made giant! One batch of dough and filling makes one 9" diameter roll. It took a longer to bake than Stella says, so next time I'd probably do 50 min covered and 25 min uncovered.

I didn't have cream cheese for the frosting, so I made a yogurt icing by draining about 4 oz of Greek yogurt overnight, then beating together with powdered sugar and vanilla paste. Apply a generous amount immediately after it comes out of the oven.

I referenced the Sally's Baking instructions for shaping of the giant roll. I'll note that it's VERY important to get the dough squared off when you roll it out so that your strips of dough are all the same size!

One roll = one serving, right?

Stella and SBA are two of the best. It looks great. How did it taste?

  2. This is awesome! When I was a teenager my mom had a donut shop. I couldn’t get enough of our cinnamon buns, so for my birthday our baker surprised me with a giant cinnamon bun exactly like this. That was forty years ago, and still the best and most memorable birthday present of my life!

And yes, I ate the whole thing myself.
