I can see the appeal of it as a throwback to the bicentennial craze in 1976 with the semiquincentennial coming up next year. I think it would be awesome for these type of celebrations, but I would never buy it though because it doesn’t have the enclosed ash catcher and don’t get why all special/limited editions don’t have this by default.

It reminds me of the Evil Knievel grill he used to truck out at shows. It’s wild man. Makes me want to jump the curb on my scooter!

I feel like these should be scattered about in a Fallout game

These grills are a great offer by Weber to give varations on their kettles which is a big thing to those who like different colors and new models.
The 3 seperate vents on the bottom were a surprise to me too, but they are nice for more specific control of temps.
A lot of people seem to not be happy with the basic ash pan. A few of you might know I make the reproduction version of the twist on pan that Weber offered from the mid 60s thru about 1980. It’s gives it a nicer vintage look, and has a larger diameter ash drop radius too. You can see the difference in this photo with the twist on style.
If anyone would like one of these pans, I make them for all sizes of the kettles. (18, 22, and 26). Just DM me for info and prices.

Yeah, those are ugly. But you do you and be happy.
I saw those at walmart. My issue is the lack of a sweep inside. Instead it has 3 separate vents on the bottom that i’m not a fan of.
It kinda looks like a circus tent
Those will probably be on FB marketplace for $20 after July 4th.
