Previous lead who was demoted put this out yesterday and got mad that I told the chef about his lack of quality and care. It’s a salmon burger… Or was.

That’s a hockey puck. Granted, I’d smash the shit out of that. I love some char on food. But that’s crazy to present normally lol

That is a charcoal briquette that even Kingsford doesn’t want.

And I bet you he’d have served it burnt side down, good on OP for speaking out 👍

  4. ….. I thought it was a burnt piece of fried chicken.

Maybe he asked for the blackened salmon burger but they ran out of the spice.

This is something my problem cook would try to get away with. I had him refire a porkchop because it was burnt to a crisp, he tried to defend himself by saying “its charred, its good like that.” Weird then that when I told him he could eat it, it ended up in the trash. Or the time he WAY over salted a pasta dish and tried to say it didn’t taste that salty to him even though it was totally inedible. Some people arent capable of acknowledging they suck at their job.

I’d probably feed that to my chickens. Idk about my dog, no way a human

I’m no gangster or anything but I was taught from a young age that being a snitch is *the* worst thing you can be. That being said, I fucking looooovvvee snitching on shit cooks that want to push out garbage food because they don’t care enough to be ashamed. I kind of hate customers too, so it’s not like i’m a nerd or anything, but i’ll be damned if some tasteless moron ever gets me to make food below my own standard. Ol’ burger burner needs to get real about their own shit or gtfo.

It’s the Trash Heap from Fraggle Rock…

Jesus. Just make another one instead of sending that shit.

Looks like he gets another demotion

    It’s just…blackened…Cajun…salmon…

  13. unknownpoltroon

I would eat that, but I like my burgers well done, I wouldn’t say it’s to serve anyone else

Why is it seemingly easier for management to fire tops dogs for minuscule shit but impossible to get rid of someone for monstrosities such as this? I deal with this a lot.

  15. heftybagman

I could see someone trying to put that out cus shit happens whatever. But to try to defend it and not be immediately embarrassed, like what’s going on in your home life? That’s a substance abuse burger

That’s the line between a good cook and a shitty one. Everyone fucks up. It’s frustrating and it sucks because it always seems to happen during the worst times but it happens.

A good cook will refire and call out that they’re refiring whatever it is. A shitty one will try to push it because time and stress or whatever excuse they wanna use to suck ass.

You were right to call them out. If they’re trying to sell that piece of shit then they’re probably doing some other dumb shit that no one is catching.

  17. I’m pretty sure I saw it pulsate and move. 😳

  18. As someone who has wanted to demote himself for a while (stress, anxiety, depression) it really feels good to know that over confident chefs are being demoted for sending this garbage out

Dude is an exorcist. He burned all of the unholy spirits residing in the salmon burger back to the firey pits of kitchen hell.
