I inherited this set up when I purchased a home a couple years ago. Concrete peninsula with these steel bars that had some 1/2 wood planks laid on top.
The wood has burned through obviously, and the steel has rusted quite a bit.
What are the best options for a base for a Large egg? The cutout on the top requires about 1/2 inch of thickness so I was thinking some sort of fire block or something.
Looking to do this the right way!
