She’s a little weird, a little misshapen, I’m no expert. Garlic pizza dough with whipped ricotta, lemon zest, caramelized shallots, mozzarella, thyme and blueberries. A little sweet, a little savory. Absolutely lovely with a drizzle of hot honey. Thoughts?

Never seen this combo before, but I would try it for sure

Flavor profile is on point!! I find with pizza like this I really want to try a slice but wouldn’t eat 2 or 3.

I’m a pizza purist at heart and I find these photos unsettling, that pizza kind of bothers me…but I’m also a pizza whore and like to experiment, so I’m intrigued.

This leaves me with a Schrödinger’s Pizza quandary – I both love it and hate it at the same time. I’d definitely try it with an open mind, so, final answer… 👍

I love untraditional pizzas, but they don’t seem to be popular in this sub as much. This looks fun and interesting, I would definitely try it!

A couple weird ones I’ve made are Thai yellow curry and rangoon/wonton — I’m an enemy to the purists and okay with that 🙂 keep up the creativity

I did grapes and Gruyère a few days ago and it was delicious.

I sorta pride myself on being a don’t-knock-it-till-you’ve-tried-it kinda guy. Pass me a slice, let’s see what’s up.

  7. I don’t know why you were hesitant post this. It looks good and satisfies everything we need for dessert pizzas. 🙂

Sure! It looks like it would be a good breakfast pizza

  9. Elmacdonals

It’s a little intimidating but I feel like it’s probably delicious.

Fuck haters, eat what you like or how you like

  12. My husband this, because of the berries, is a pie. He wouldn’t call it a pizza pie, he would call it an open faced pie.

I disagree. I DO believe this is a pizza pie and I am genuinely curious if it’s a “love enough to make again.”

  13. I’m a little stoned so although it frightens me, I want it, badly.

What is this garlic dough you speak of?

  15. Without the blueberries I’d say it’s 🔥.

With the whole blueberries in a little dubious about how the excess moisture and texture plays. I mean i’d 100% still be down to try it.

Id sooner make a blueberry-honey reduction or somethin and drizzle it on if you want the blueberry flavor

  16. Local pizza place does a blueberry Brie pizza that is super good

I love unusual combos like this. 1000% would try a slice.

  18. I can mentally process how those ingredients work together and should probably taste great but, emotionally I hate it.

  19. I gotta say, not my thang chicken wang. But with that said, I’ll try almost anything twice. Curious to how you acquired this recipe? Dominick’s where I live makes a pastry crust pizza which is unbelievable and they have been making them since 1946.

Sounds like a delicious desert pizza without the garlic/shallots/thyme. I would definitely try it, but no way I’m making that

I feel like there’s a world where this works, but that ingredient list seems like it needs some editing…

This looks so good! I just made a ricotta and blueberry “breakfast cake” from Ina Garten and it was super good, so I imagine in pizza form is just as tasty haha
