  1. How did you cook them if you don’t mind me asking? Also, what’s the cut? Looks medium temp (my favorite). You’ll get better and better in the years to come. Looks pretty good!

Good job. And congrats on your “first time!” They do look good. Maybe higher heat to get a better sear but if it tastes good to you, then it’s perfect!

Did you cut that steak with another less well done steak? Just playing.
Way better than *my* first few steaks. Only note from pictures is to work on your sear.

Now, I do not recommend resisting the temptation to buy sharp knife and a nice dark brown cutting board.

I couldn’t pull that off at 17, nice work!

Make sure you’re steak rests a bit before cooking. Pat it dry. You got this.

Hey op! Try dry brining for a few hours in the fridge. You’ll get a nice crust on the BBQ this way👌

Just sprinkle some salt on them and let them sit uncovered in the fridge on a wire rack or a couple forks to lift the bottom up.

  8. A sharp knife will change your life. Being able to slice the steak perfectly changes the taste because it changes the texture directly.

Good job for your first time. Try a thicker cut next time and sharper knife. Learn as you go 😁

Invest in a meat thermometer. Takes the guess work out. Another tip is always pull earlier on temp than when you want. It WILL keep cooking even after you take it off the heat

Great job. Looks delicious. Hope you enjoyed!

Great job. Lots of advice in these comments, but this is better than 95% of our first time. You are clearly on the path to grillmaster. Be proud, keep grilling. Don’t try to incorporate all this feedback, pick like one thing at a time. My suggestion would be a higher grill temp as others have said, but whatever you want to try.

    Looks awesome.

Idk why but the first picture I thought was a brownie 😂 until I scrolled over and saw that nice juicy steak! Congrats my dude!

    Does not look good.

In which country do you live?

  14. Love that this community is supportive of our little brothers. Some have recommended higher heat but you said you did it on a grill so either hotter fire with offset cooking followed by direct flame sear or get a hot pan ready to transfer to at the end of an offset smoking process from the grill to get the sear
