Hi everyone,
I found some white flaky stuff on a piece of beef jerky I had stored for a little while and I’m not sure if it’s mold or just salt or fat crystals. I’m attaching a picture to show what it looks like. I’d appreciate any help identifying it, don’t want to get sick if it’s not safe to eat. Thanks in advance! :]

Just looks like fibers of the meat/dry flesh and some seasoning dust. Eat that shit

Based on picture it looks like mold to me. The green stuff on the left looks like green mold. the white stuff just looks gross. And I’ve never even seen edible (homemade or store bought) look that ‘off’.

    GOOD LUCK!

Its thin sinew. It’s a fiber layer “between the meat” that gives meat much of its structure. And without it, would make meat mushy, boring, and unpleasant to chew (as we know it). It’s fine to eat unless its really thick and chewy (where it’s forming into tendons). This is not thick at all, and only visible since it’s dry and flaky.
