EVANSTON, IL — Family owned Mediterranean-style chain Reza’s Restaurant is closing its doors at the Evanston location.

Though a sign on the restaurant’s door suggests it might reopen soon, a pop -up on the Reza’s Restaurant website says it’s “closed until further notice.”

Reza’s Restaurant opened in 2021, replacing long-time community favorite Pete Miller’s after its closure in 2019. The restaurant planned to open in March 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, so it’s opening was delayed for more than a year.

Other Reza’s locations have also seemingly closed down, including its original Andersonville location that closed in 2023 after 40 years in business. The Reza’s location in Oak Brook is still open, but is under new management, according to its website.
